Matt is co-founder and CEO of ZeroKey, a rapidly rising Canadian-based tech company that provides the world’s most accurate real-time location system (RTLS) technology. As the inventor behind ZeroKey’s Quantum RTLS technology, Matt holds over 30 patents and is responsible for taking a back-of-the-napkin idea and building it into a growth-stage tech company. He has successfully raised over $15 million in funding and investment in his role as CEO.
Prior to founding ZeroKey, Matt worked as the head of Information Systems (North American subsidiaries) of Wilo, a major manufacturing company with global revenue of over $2 billion USD. Over the course of his 20+ year career in the tech industry, Matt has been an avid open-source contributor, including to several mega projects, namely Linux and Arduino. Linux is used by over 2 billion devices worldwide, including all Android smartphones, and Arduino is the world-leading hardware prototyping platform. He has acquired many accolades throughout his entrepreneurial endeavours, including winning the Machine Demo competition at the renowned Collision Conference.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids, and his dog. He is an avid billiards player and loves a good game of chess.
